Adjunct Instructor, Physics
Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is seeking adjunct instructors for our Physics course lectures and labs who are eager to contribute to its Lasallian Catholic mission of awakening, nurturing, and empowering learners to ethical lives of service and leadership.
The goals of the physics courses are that all students should gain an appreciation of science as a human and creative endeavor, acquire and be able to apply skills of quantitative reasoning, and understand science’s distinctive disciplinary methodology, with its emphasis on experimentation and open communication. In addition to mastering foundational physics principles and analytical methods, students learn experimental techniques to test physical models, and be able to apply these principles, methods, and techniques to their own professions.
Classes that are currently available are College Physics I, Introductory Physics I (calculus based) and multiple sections of the Introductory Physics 1 Labs. This is an on-campus position within the undergraduate Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics Department located in Winona, MN.
The successful candidate must possess a master’s degree in physics or a closely related field. Candidates should possess knowledge and skills in learning strategies, instructional technology, and content delivery.
